Michael LoSasso was born and raised in Orlando, to a New Jersey Italian family. He made the move to New Jersey in 2009, where he received his Bachelors and Masters of Arts in History from Seton Hall University. After college he moved back to Florida to work with AmeriCorps for two years before deciding to return to academia. A scholarship to the University of South Florida brought him to Tampa where he received his Ph.D. in History with an emphasis on Cold War Culture and Film History in 2022. An avid cinephile since High School, Michael LoSass has an encyclopedic knowledge of films both American and International, past, present and future. He has recently begun turning his passion into a profession. Along with authoring academic articles on film history, he also writes screenplays in a variety of genres. A passionate go-getter, he is honored to be a part of the future of the Tampa film community.
